Rug & Upholstery Cleaning · Nationwide

The pattern didn’t fade. It’s buried under soil.

Foot traffic presses grit down into the pile until the colors go flat, and the sofa quietly absorbs everything the family brings home. Our low-moisture process lifts it all back out. No soaking, no shrinkage, no wet-fabric smell.

Your rug is better than it looks

A rug that looks tired usually isn’t worn out. Years of foot traffic grind dust and grit down to the base of the pile, and that layer of soil scatters light, so reds read brown and blues read grey. Vacuums pull from the surface and never reach it. Furniture works the same way: fabric is a filter, and every armrest and seat cushion has been quietly collecting body oils, crumbs, and dust since the day it arrived.

The usual fixes make it worse. Renting a steam machine or scrubbing with store-bought foam pushes soap and water deep into the pile, where the residue stays sticky and grabs dirt twice as fast. On wool and natural fibers, that much water invites shrinkage, dye bleed, and browning. Sending the rug out means paying for pickup and living with a bare floor while it sits in a queue somewhere.

Safe-Dry® does the whole job in your home. Our carbonated solution lifts embedded soil to the surface with almost no moisture, we extract it, and the rug is dry in about an hour. No soap, no soaking, no trip to a plant. You can see each step on our how rug and upholstery cleaning works page.

How Safe-Dry® brings the colors back

Four steps, all in your home, and the rug is back underfoot within the hour.

1

Identify and test

Your technician confirms what the rug or fabric is made of, then runs a colorfastness test on rugs and a hidden-area test on delicate upholstery. Wool, silk, jute, microfiber, and leather all get different handling, and this step decides which one yours needs.

2

Lift the soil out

A low-moisture carbonated solution goes into the pile, where millions of tiny bubbles push embedded soil up to the surface. It's all-natural and soap-free, so there's no sticky detergent residue left behind to attract the next round of dirt.

3

Extract and detail

The loosened soil comes out along with the moisture. Cushions are cleaned individually and in place, traffic lanes and arms get extra passes, and pet odor gets an enzyme treatment that breaks down the source.

4

Guarantee it

Rugs are dry in about an hour, upholstery in one to two. If you're not happy with the result, we come back and make it right. Every job is backed by the Safe-Dry® 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Before you buy a new couch

Press down on the seat cushion first

If the foam springs back and the fabric is intact, what you’re tired of is soil, dinge, and smell, and all three of those clean out for a fraction of what a new sofa costs. If the cushions have collapsed or the fabric has worn through at the arms, cleaning can’t rebuild that, and we’ll tell you so before quoting anything. Three quick self-tests settle it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take the rug away to clean it?

No, and that's the point. The rug is cleaned right where it lies, in your home, and it stays there. There's no pickup truck, no drop-off ticket, and no living with a bare floor for a week. The same goes for furniture: the sofa gets cleaned in the room it lives in, cushion by cushion.

How wet does the rug or sofa get?

Barely. Our carbonated solution does the lifting with bubbles instead of volume, so we apply a fraction of the moisture a steam cleaner would. Rugs are typically dry in about an hour, upholstery in one to two. That matters for more than convenience: soaking is what causes dye bleed, shrinkage, browning on natural fibers, and that sour wet-fabric smell.

Is it safe for wool, silk, and antique rugs?

We identify the fiber first and run a colorfastness test before any cleaning starts. Wool, silk, cotton, jute, and synthetics each get different handling, because what's safe on a polypropylene rug can wreck a vegetable-dyed heirloom. On fragile or antique pieces we stay deliberately conservative and tell you exactly what we will and won't attempt.

Is it safe around kids and pets?

Yes. The solution is all-natural and soap-free, with no harsh detergents left behind in the fibers. Once the piece is dry, it's ready for bare feet, crawling babies, and the dog who thinks the sofa is his.

Can you get pet odor out of furniture and rugs?

We treat pet odor with an enzyme-based process that breaks down the source of the smell instead of perfuming over it. Covering odor with fragrance buys you a few days; removing what's causing it is the only fix that lasts.

Do you clean leather furniture?

Yes. Leather and faux leather get a gentle cleaning that lifts the surface oils and grime, followed by conditioning so the hide doesn't dry out or crack. We don't re-pigment or re-dye leather, and we'll say so upfront if a piece needs that kind of restoration work.

What can't cleaning fix?

Old dye bleed, sun fading, worn-through nap, moth holes, and bleach spots are damage to the material itself, not soil sitting on it, so no cleaning process removes them. Ink and stains that have set for years may be permanent too. We don't do reweaving, re-dyeing, fringe repair, or re-upholstery, and your technician will point out anything in that category during the walkthrough instead of letting you pay to find out.

How much does it cost?

There's $25 off rug or upholstery cleaning right now. Final pricing depends on the size, fiber, and condition of what we're cleaning, and your technician gives you a firm number during the walkthrough before any work starts.
